The owner's brief was very simple- to create a space big and safe enough for their toddler son to roam around without getting hurt.

 

It was needless to say that all the functions and planning that went into this apartment had to deal with surveillance of the son from every space in the common areas and bedrooms where possible. Selected walls were also padded, so even if their child were to ram against them, minimal infliction of pain will be caused.

 

Also, taking cue from the owner's favourite colour, splashes of blue in different tones were introduced as a counterpoint to the otherwise "whitish" interior.
